Last Day of 2008

Yes, it is the last day of the year, 2008.

Awakenings #03

To Glorify HIM

The chief end of men should be to glorify HIM.
The Maker of Heavens, Earth and everything that is in it.
The Alpha & Omega.
The Beginning & The End.
The Bright Morning Star.
The Way, The Truth & The Life.
The Bread of Life.
The Living Water.
The Great I AM.
The King of kings & the Lord of lords.
The Almighty One.
The Light of Life.
The Joy of life.
Our Peace.
Amen.

So Unworthy

As we take stock of 2008,
we need to realise how unworthy we are.
Where we are today, we do not deserve. It is the grace of God.
For that, we must will ourselves to give back to Him.

Awakenings #02
"God is ever so gracious and forgiving.
It's time to awake, rise up & act!"

Taking Stock of 2008

It's the time to take stock of 2008:
1. Three things I have done well
2. Two things I could have done better
3. One thing I want to do in 2009

BB Retreat 2008

It was most unexpected! It turned out to be a wonderful BB retreat! Thanks be to God! On 24 December 2008, it was perfect arrangement with Cheng Hoong, Mdm Low & BNSS, to pick up the required stuffs for retreat. Upon reaching BBHQ, we bought "all that we need" for Christmas celebration. It was a great evening! We ate 2 large roast chickens, brownies, lots of Korean strawberries, Japanese Mandarin oranges, ice cream with bread from 4 leaves etceteras.

On Christmas Day, everyone woke up at around noon. Kevin joined us from 1-4pm for AGM. Originally, we planned only to reflect on the things we had done in 2008 and plan first half of 2009. In the end, we came out the entire BB programme for 2009. In addition, we can sense divine leading even as we went through the meeting and felt that 2010 will be "The Year of Happenings!"

On 26 December 2008, we went to watch "Ip Man" together at Tiong Bahru Plaza. It turned out to be such an enjoyable movie! Thereafter, we had dinner at Tiong Bahru Market. Everyone was also surprised that such a 'ulu place' has such wonderful food.

On 27 December 2008, the guys played counter strike (3-4 sets of lap tops), soccer and at around 5am, we ate Macdonalds breakfast! What a great time we had?! AND we checked out of BBHQ at around noon time.

Once again, thank God for a fun-filled and relaxing BB Retreat!

Here's wishing everyone an early "Happy & God-blessed New Year!"

Lunch @ TMall

Had lunch with Tim, Elisha, Dominic, Yong Siang & Jeremy today.
It was a "Thank You Lunch" re: BB72!

NTU Canteen

It adds 'colours' to being a student at NIE-NTU. At least, it helps to make one feels more connected to their surroundings. It's also interesting how these things can help one mentally and emotionally. If you know what I am talking about.

World in Tension (W.I.T)

We're living in dangerous time. Our world in tension (W.I.T) is running out of wits in resolving the global economy crisis. Thailand is voting their new PM. North Korea nuclear talks just collapse with no deal. The US government didn't reach an agreement to rescue their automobile giants! Singapore has been predicted to be the worst Asean countries to be hit by the global economy crisis. Just follow the news and you will know our world is in deep troubles.

What would you do?

Expedition Photos 2008

Yupz! First-time ever! Mac for Breakfast on 7 Dec 2008 =)

Memorable Expedition 2008

It was one of the most memorable events of the year, Expedition 2008, 6-7 Dec. God is gracious. For He held back the rain for us, so that 3 groups comprising of Boys, Primers & Officers can expedite from School (Bedok Reservoir) to Tampines Central, Dunman Secondary and finally, East point (Simei), where 2 groups boarded the public transport back to School.

Kiat Sheng's group made history in 72nd Singapore Company by being the first group ever to complete an expedition on feet! They did not rely on any transport to get back to base i.e. School.

Nevertheless, every group had done tremendously well and completed the entire expedition route. Well done, Guys!

To reward everyone for the hardwork done, we had BBQ, night games and birthday celebrations. It was a wonderful evening of feasting (cooked food), BBQ-ing (uncooked food), fun-filled night games organised by Andy, eating of chocolate-hazelnut cake and jellies sponsored by Mdm Low and fellowshipping among Boys, Primers & Officers till about 4am in the morning!

Thank God for a "Memorable Expedition 2008!"

In addition, I would like to thank the followings who have worked very hard to make our Expedition 2008 a resounding success!

1. Yeo Kiat Sheng 2. Andy Chua 3. All Boys, Primers & OCTs.
