A note about Greatness
Even
the great that lived among us and left, are not 100% great. Humans are
full of flaws. Nonetheless, since humans need role-models and
super-heroes, we reason, learn love and acceptance, exercise grace and
finally, make decisions about who are our heroes.
Deep down
inside, we know, there is none except The One, who was accused, bruised,
mocked, pierced and crucified for our transgressions, Jesus Christ, Son
of the Living God.
Have a Great! weekend.

The Beauty of Blogspot
Yes,
Blogspot is beautiful.
It still has its appeal. It is different from Facebook.
Blogspot allows you to write, edit, update, return, review, update, add, minus.
It feels more like a personal journal and you can change the background etc.
More importantly, there is something beautiful about Blogspot.
It is hard to explain.
But, when you return to your blog and look at it, emotions well-up...
Thank you Blogspot. Press on and never give up please.

"The Boy & his Flyers"
It
was Tuesday, Oct 18, 2011 and about noon time.
A bespectacled young Boy aged
about 10-11 yo was under a void deck and counting some stuff. "What is
he doing outside at this time of the day? Why is he not in school?" I
wondered. "O yes! It's PSLE marking days (17-20 Oct 2011)! But,
shouldn't he be preparing for his exams at home?" I thought to myself.
The next day, I saw
the same Boy. This time, he was underneath my block. "Why is he seated
here with his shirt on his back full of perspiration? Hey, is he holding
a stack of flyers? It looks like adverts for gas service. Wow! He is
actually distributing flyers to earn some money. I guess his family
maybe in need..."
Upon reaching my doorstep, I saw the same
flyer that the Boy was holding onto placed on my gate. Apparently, he'd
just distributed flyers in my block and was taking a short break at the
void deck. Somehow, something that this young Boy is doing touched my
heart. I wish him well and success in life. More importantly, I wish
every young person in Singapore will grow up and be a little like "The
Boy & his Flyers". I do not know what it is. You cannot see or touch
it. But it is something really beautiful on the inside of this Boy.
It's intangible yet tangible. You can feel it.
The Lord bless and keep him, his family and loved ones.
