Jars of Clay

I am a "jar of clay" filled with approprimately 45 years of learning and experiences, made of body, soul and spirit. By God's grace, made alive through the shed blood of Jesus Christ. Without Him, life is a hopeless end. With Him, life is an endless hope. This realisation kept me sane all these years, when friends failed. Jesus, Friend of friends.

Go Further Than You Can See

Dear Friend,

"Don't wait for all the lights to be green before you leave the house" (Jim Stovall). I sincerely believe that we would accomplish many more things if we did not so automatically view them as impossible. God gave man an upright countenance to survey the heavens and look upward toward him. Don't ever say the conditions are not right. This will always limit God. Those who dare, do; those who dare not, do not.

Wayne Gretsky is arguably the greatest hockey player in history. Asked about his secret for continuing to lead the national hockey league in goals year after year, Gretsky replied, "I skate to where the puck is going to be, not where it has been." Don't do anything that doesn't require faith. Dare to go further than you can see.

Too many people except little from God, ask little, and therefore receive little and are content with little. I sincerely believe that we would accomplish many more things if we did not so automatically view them as impossible.

G. C. Lichtenberg said, "Never undertake anything for which you wouldn't have the courage to ask the blessings of heaven." Ed Cole focusing on faith said, "There are three levels of knowledge. God is for me. God is with me. God is in me."

The person who dares for nothing need hope for nothing. You have reached stagnation when all you ever exercise is caution. Sometimes you must press ahead despite the pounding fear in your head that says, "Turn back."

If God is kept outside, something must be wrong inside. God will never allow anything to confront you that you and He together can't handle.

God said, "Come to the edge."
We said, "It's too high."
"Come to the edge."
We said, "We might fall."
"Come to the edge," God said.
And we came.
And He pushed us.
And we flew...

Service Excellence

Today marks a new beginning in 72nd Company.
We witnessed "never seen before" unity among us.
Within an hour, the Annual Report & Statement of Accounts were done. To God be the Glory!

A gentle reminder:
1. Communicate with one another
2. Be Humble at all times
3. Learn to respect others

The above promote service excellence in our company.

Spending Time with Friends

I went for my dental appointment at 11am today and met up with Jeffrey & Yong Siang at 12noon at Bedok Library. They were discussing First Aid test papers for Boys. At 12:25pm or so, we walked Yong Siang to Bedok Interchange as he has tutorial at 1pm.

Thereafter, I had lunch with Jeffrey (met Jun Hua, ex-BB Boy of 32nd, who is currently a 3rd year NIE student) and accompanied him to SGH for his medical appointment re: Podiatry (Occupational Therapy).

After Jeffrey's appointment (met Zhi Sen of 4th BB Coy at SGH), we walked along Chinatown and bought some stuffs. It was a simple yet meaningful day of catching up with friends.

We are now living in the year 2009!
This is going to be a great year of awakenings for many!

Let's begin the new year with a simple prayer.

In Jesus' Name I pray, Amen. "
