Pre-Enlistment Dinner

Zu Han will be enlisted on this coming Friday (14 Sep 07) for National Service. As such, i decided to gather his peers for a time of fellowship and dinner. It was good to see Jun Jie, Jun Wei, Zhe Hao, Tim, Kiat Sheng, Kevin, Andy and of course, Zu Han. We'd a good time at Genki Sushi (Tampines). The guys ordered 64 pieces of Sushi. Amazing that Tim, Jun Jie, Zhe Hao & Kiat Sheng actually finished it! =)

ANSWER:
The husband just said "I am with you Darling".

The husband's totally unexpected reaction is a proactive behaviour. The child is dead.

He can never be brought back to life. There is no point in finding fault with the mother.

Besides, if only he had taken time to keep the bottle away, this would not have happened.

No one is to be blamed. She had also lost her only child.

What she needed at that moment was consolation and sympathy from the husband.

That is what he gave her.

If everyone can look at life with this kind of perspective, there would be much fewer problems in the world.

Take off all your envies, jealousies, unforgiveness, selfishness, and fears. And you will find things are actually not as difficult as you think.

MORAL OF THE STORY
This story is really worth reading. Sometimes we spend time in asking who is responsible or whom to blame, whether in a relationship, in a job or with the people we know. By this way we miss out some warmth in human relationship.

Frustration

When a person feels frustrated, he is either upset or angry with someone or something. Usually, it is cumulative. Frustration towards someone does not happen overnight. One feels frustrated when someone is repeatedly doing something that is irritating. To complicate matter, the person is usually unaware that his actions are causing others to be very upset or angry.

The way to resolve it is to talk to the person. It is easier if one knows the party very well. But sad to say, it is usually not the case. Thus, making it tough to highlight his actions.

The end result? More frustrations!

So, what's the best solution? In my opinion, it is better to move on to avoid ugly scenarios. That's the way i see it. What about you? = )

$2 Lunch!

i didn't want to talk about it.. i am referring to the lunch we bought for the Boys on last Sat. But apparently, it was so delicious & cheap! ($2 for 1 meat & 2 others) till our Boys are 'longing to eat it again'!

Laziness Kills!

Today's Sermon is on one word, "Sloth". Simply put it, Laziness Kills! It destroy us! As such, to counteract sloth, "You need the Battle more than the Battle needs you." In other words, Everyone needs Good & Healthy Stimulus! It helps us not to procrastinate nor become lazy. Interestingly, "the more you sleep, the more tired you become". As such, Sleep Only What Is Enough. Do not overdo it.

The lesson drawn today w.r.t. National Bible Quiz 2007 is the importance of "Starting & Finishing Well" in any race. In short, "Never Give Up" on any good things that you have begun. Once you've decided to do something good, persevere and "Finish the race!". Yes, even if you are the last.

First-time ever! 72nd Singapore Company is sending o3 Teams to participate in National Bible Quiz (NBQ) 2007 tomorrow! First-time ever! The majority of participants are Secondary One Boys! Will they bring back a Gold or Nothing at all? Does it matter?

Of course, it doesn't! As I've said it many times, "Just Go! Enjoy! Have Fun! Do Not worry about winning or losing! Cos the most important thing in Life is the giving of our Best! And i believe Our Boys have done just that!"

Subject: A Story Worth Reading ... A Lesson Worth Learning

A boy was born to a couple after eleven years of marriage. They were a loving couple and the boy was the gem of their eyes. When the boy was around two years old, one morning the husband saw a medicine bottle open. He was late for office so he asked his wife to cap the bottle and keep it in the cupboard. His wife, preoccupied in the kitchen totally forgot the matter. The boy saw the bottle and playfully went to the bottle fascinated by its color and drank it all. It happened to be a poisonous medicine meant for adults in small dosages. When the child collapsed, the mother hurried him to the hospital. He died. The mother was stunned. She was terrified how she was going to face her husband. When the distraught father came to the hospital and saw the dead child, he looked at his wife and uttered just five words.

The Nokia N-Series did not meet up to my expectations. I paid a great deal for the N73 Music Edition. Apart from taking great pictures & videos, it disappoints me as a user.

i've decided to return to "Classics" i.e. Simple, fast & yet advanced.

BB-SGB's 20th Anniversary

Tonight is BB-SGB's 20th Anniversary Thanksgiving & Celebration Dinner at Fullerton Hotel. Thank God for His Blessings upon BB-SGB for the past 20 years in Singapore. Thank God for His Presidency, Mr S R Nathan & The First Lady, Mrs Nathan, for gracing tonight's occasion. Thank God for the many supporters of BB-SGB over the years. Thank God for a simple, relaxing and wonderful evening.

A Sermon for Everyone

This is a brief summary of Pastor Philip Tan's Sermon Today. It is about the importance of overcoming sins, for it matters! It's an individual responsibility to live pleasing in the Sight of God.

What does God say about lust?
1. A Strong but wrong desire
2. A desire for things, persons or pleasure
3. Sexual lust - Romans 1:26

Point 1 - Sexual lust is offensive to God - Blocking Grace operating in our lives. E.g. A man in extra-marital relations or adultery, repented of his sins. Yes, he repented. But he repented too "late"! At his death bed! ** Cities of Sins - Sodom, Gomorrah, 'Zibo...', 'Acnah'.

Indoctrination that gay is ok in USA. But God didn't create "Adam & Steve". He created "Adam & Eve"!

Strong desire for same-sex? This Church does not reject homosexuals. But don't ACT on it! For even heterosexuals also have strong desires. Just don't ACT on it! Uncontrollable lust? Need Deliverance.

For the Young - Stay clear from pre-marital sex. It's wrong, for you are robbing from your future partner something precious.

For the Adults - Never sleep with someone else outside of Marriage!

Point 2 - Deny worldly lust! Titus 2:12

Point 3 - Abstain worldly lust! 1 Peter 2:11

Point 4 - Flee youth lust! 2 Timothy 2:22

Make Your Stand! People respect those who are Noble. Be Noble.

** Make NO provision for *it! Romans 13:14, James 1:15 E.g. *Pornography. It is a powerful enemy. Don't see at all! Set a rule for your EYES!

** Have NO confidence in our sinful nature. Jeremiah 17:9. For the heart of man is desperately sinful.

Closed Parade

BB Parades officially closed today for Boys to prepare their year-end exams. Nevertheless, 6 of us gathered for a simple time together and celebrated Kiat Sheng's Birthday.
