Hereby are the BB Activities for the rest of the Year of Renewal!

1. Last 2 parades will be on 1 & 15 Nov 2008, 8am-12noon.
The attire is PT KIT.
No parade on 8 Nov 2008 - Andy Chua's wedding.

2. SGB is on 2 & 4 December 2008 (9am-9pm).

Yesterday, I'd my grammar re-test.

Thereafter, I came back home. As I needed to go to Fort Canning this morning re: Battlebox and also Sir Stamford Raffle's landing place in town re: Social Studies.

We ended at around 3-4pm and I learnt that some students who sat for the grammar re-test had already received their results.

I couldn't wait for my results and asked a Boy of mine to help up.

The first person to feel the pain with me was... Jeremy Chua.

I flunk it a 2nd time. This time round... by half a mark.

It's a time to be "Sure & Stedfast".

I spoke to an Assoc Prof and was advised to drop an email to my course coordinator re: If they could award me half a mark to help me pass the module.

Pray along with me. Thank you.

The Heaven Rejoices~

On 19 Oct 2008, right in the heart of Bedok Central, something special happened to our dear friend and brother, Pang Zu Han. The whole of heaven rejoices~ "Welcome to our family..."

Motorbike Accident

Today, we learnt that one of our ex-BB Boys, who is now in the army, was involved in a motorbike accident two days ago. Thank God that he is now out of Intensive Care Unit (ICU).

I went to visit him this afternoon together with Jeremy Chua & Dominic Lim. He is in high dependency (HD) ward and looks like in a very bad shape still. Nonetheless, it was good to learn that he is "out of danger" for now.

I entered his room and saw him moved a little. When i spoke to him, he moved his fingers a little as well. Thereafter, I think he knew it was me talking to him and wanted to get up, which led me to check with the nurse if he could get up. And i learnt that he had some fractures in his right neck area and right side of his body. No wonder... he was wearing a corset around his neck... to minimise movement of his neck.

Then I noticed a lady standing outside his room and I guessed it correctly. It was his mom. I observed that she looked relief to learn that her son's condition has stabilised. But then again, healing will take awhile and this young man will need to get used to whatever disabilities that he might have sustained through this motorbike accident.

We wish him well and a speedy recovery.

Thank God for his mercy on us all.

** Thank God for Darius who also visited this young man with us today & gave us a lift back to the east-side thereafter.

Finishing Well

It's always much easier said than done. More than often, we need to go through life itself to know what it is like to begin something and having the tenacity to finish it well. This is the case for me now... holding fast to my last few laps and couldn't wait for December holidays to come! Your prayers is very much appreciated. The Lord Bless & Keep everyone reading this!

Korean Pears

Are you able to figure out the size of the above Korean Pear?
You can't really get it in Singapore.
It was brought in by our Korean sister-in-law's mom,
who flew into Singapore about two weeks ago.

ACTS 7

I woke up this morning at around 9am and left home at around 10:25am for my dental appointment. Thank God the dentist was able to "salvage" my molar tooth! Thereafter, I walked to Simei MRT, bought chicken rice for my lunch and lots of pastries for supper and breakfast. While on the train, I did my QT and read ACTS 7.

While reading, I was pleasantly surprised by God. I discovered that God started "Inquiry Science" a long time ago. HE actually used "Inquiry Science" (ACTS 7:30 onwards) to get Moses' attention! He caused a bush to "burn"! Remember? And Moses got curious and approached it... simply to "OBSERVE"!!! There, God SPOKE! Which gave him a great fright! Moses was around 80 year old when He returned to Egypt to set God's people free!

Secondly, I learnt about a great man of God, named Stephen. He recited the entire "Biblical Story".. practically, from the beginning... to the end, before being stoned to death! I wondered... what is God trying to tell me? As I reflected upon the verses... God seemed to be telling me this... "Look at your life... Have I ever make any mistakes?" "If no, believe that it wasn't a mistake that you are where you are right now."

Thirdly, I am amazed to learn that Stephen is such a great man of God! Before he died by stoning... and before he breathed his very last breath... He said, "Lord, do not charge them with this sin." - ACTS 7:60 Even unto death, Stephen was pleading for God's people... to have mercy on them... that's us.

What a wonderful revelation God has given us? It refreshes, it rejuvenates, it re-energizes...

Below is my very first apple pie that I ate at NIE. It was once my favourite while I was working at Singtel (1991-1995), just before I went for overseas study in Tasmania. Thanks to my room-mate, Wei Zhuang who helped me to buy it from MacDonald's (NTU).

12 year old filling

After almost 12 years or more, the filling (can you see it in the picture above?) of my right molar tooth (which i paid A$100 to mend while in Tasmania, 1995-1997), came out this evening when i was eating fries at MacDonalds (NTU). I will be having it re-filled tomorrow at 10:30am.
